Erlanger Autumn holidays (Herbstferien) 2023

Dear families,

in the Autumn holidays (Herbstferien) 2023 from october, 30. to november, 3. (not on november, 1.) we offer a holiday childcare for schoolchildren. This page gives you all the information you need to know about FAU holiday childcare during the Autumn holidays.

Who can attend?

Holiday childcare for school children between the ages of 6 and 12.

What’s on offer?

In the vacation groups, a leisure-oriented vacation program is carried out. In the fall vacations we work together with the project “FAU KinderUni”, there is a Halloween party and lots of fun and games! Detailed information can be found in Programm für die Herbstferien 2022 Erlangen.

You can only register using your work e-mail address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de).

Please also note that you require the documents to register for FAU holiday childcare. Please be sure to fill them out and bring them with you on the first day that your child attends the holiday childcare.

Opening hours/costs

The FAU holiday childcare is available during the holidays on working days from 07:30am to 4:30pm. You can register your child by the week either for
* full-day care for 60 €/week (for childcare between 7:30am and 4:30pm every day) or for
* half-day care for 40 €/week (for childcare between 7:30am and 2pm every day).
For 3.10€/day, you can book a warm lunch for your child. On longer excursion days, we please provide your child with an additional snack, as we do not go to the cafeteria on that day.

Prizes vary for users from partner institutions.

Reduced rates?

A reduced rate must be applied for in advance from the person responsible for organizing the childcare at the Family Service (pädagogische Leitung) and is possible in the following cases: Families with three children who are all looked after in the University childcare during the same week(s) do not have to pay the childcare costs for the third child (but lunch fees still apply).
If both parents are students, they can apply for a reduction in childcare costs of 10 € per week by showing their certificates of enrollment.

Cancellation?

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend the childcare you have booked.

If your child is ill at the time the childcare starts, we will reimburse you your fees if you show us a doctor’s certificate.

Cancellation for any other reason: Fees are reimbursed in full for any cancellation up to 7 days before the holidays start. After that, the fees will only be reimbursed if we can find someone to take your place.
