The Family Service offers talks on caring for relatives several times a year. Topics include living wills (Patientenverfügung), health care proxies (Vorsorgevollmacht) or advance directives (Betreuungsverfügung), benefits provided by long-term care insurance, balancing work and care commitments, the benefits of bequeathing or gifting property and possessions, options for transferring wealth, the many faces of Parkinson’s disease, the impact of dementia, or the second Federal Care Reform Act (“Pflegestärkungsgesetz II”).
The speakers are professionals from FAU, UKER and local experts. During the talks, there is always time for personal questions and discussions concerning the topic of the presentation.
Since starting our series of talks, the number of participants has grown steadily, a clear indication of how important and prevalent the issues are.
The Family Service advertises upcoming talks in circular emails and on the Family Service website.
We are also open to receiving suggestions for future talks.
