Measures the consortium has already implemented:
- Reserving a certain number of places for F³G members in various day care facilities (nurseries, kindergartens and after-school clubs)
- Expanding childcare and conference services for F³G members
- Financial support for specific F³G projects during FAU’s holiday childcare (Lego Mindstorms, 3D printing project etc.) and providing the relevant staff
- Expanding holiday childcare to Nuremberg as an F³G pilot project
- Providing mobile family workspaces at a number of F³G locations at FAU
- Children’s play area in the student restaurant at Erlangen Campus (South)
- Improving the educational concept behind the infrastructure in the day care facilities belonging to FAU
- Supporting Girls’ Day and the Girls and Technology internship
Services available to staff in F³G consortia:
- Individual coaching for young female researchers
- Lectures and seminars on topics such as career support for women or gender awareness
- Training courses for managers
- Financing research assistants to make it easier to balance research and family commitments
- Covering costs for holiday childcare
- Helping with emergency care to make it easier to balance research and family commitments
- Childcare available to staff taking part in conferences and symposia
- Option of working from home for staff who have to care for children or other relatives
