The Coordination Office for Family Matters at Uniklinikum Erlangen was opened in March 2025. It gives information on topics such as starting a family, childcare and caring for relatives and coordinates closely with other relevant bodies.
The aim is to provide Uniklinikum Erlangen employees with relevant information, suitable structures and services tailored to their individual family needs.
Creating structures and measures
In order to improve options for balancing a family and a career at Uniklinikum Erlangen, there is a need for additional, more extensive measures and structures to help employees balance child care or caregiving responsibilities with their work commitments. In addition, parents to be ought to be supported and encouraged to find suitable options for them to start a family and lower the hurdles for returning to work when the time comes.
The office cooperates closely with many different areas at Uniklinikum Erlangen and the FAU Family Service to create suitable structures and measures, and is also involved in regional and national networks.
