Erlanger Winter (Carnival) holidays

Dear families,

in the Winter (Carnival) holidays 2026 from february 16 to february 20 we offer a holiday chilcare for schoolchildren in Erlangen.
This page gives you all the information you need to know about FAU holiday childcare during the Winter holidays.

Who can attend?

Holiday childcare for schoolchildren between the ages of 6 and 12.

Registration period: 2026-january 15 until 22
You can only register using your work e-mail address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de).

Please also note that you require the documents to register for FAU holiday childcare. Please be sure to fill them out and bring them with you on the first day that your child attends the holiday childcare.

Opening hours/costs

During the Winter (Carnival vacations) the FAU vacation childcare is opened daily from 07:00-16:30 on weekdays.

Registration is possible weekly as:

  • full-day booking for 80 €/week (care time daily from 07:00 – 16:30)
  • half-day booking of 60 €/week (childcare hours daily from 07:00 – 14:00)
  • booking with a warm lunch at a cost of € 17,50/week.

Please organize your child’s breakfast, snacks and drinks yourself and pack them safely in a small backback. On longer excursion days, we ask you to give your child an additional snack, as we do not go to the cafeteria on these days.

Prizes vary for users from partner institutions.

Cancellation

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend the childcare you have booked.

If your child is ill at the time the childcare starts, we will reimburse you your fees if you show us a doctor’s certificate.

Cancellation for any other reason: Fees are reimbursed in full for any cancellation up to 7 days before the holidays start. After that, the fees will only be reimbursed if we can find someone to take your place.
