Erlanger Easter holidays (Osterferien)
Dear families,
we are planning to offer childcare in Erlangen for school children in the Easter holidays (Osterferien) 2025 from April 04 to April 25.
This page gives you all the information you need to know about FAU holiday childcare during the Easter holidays.
Who can attend?
Holiday childcare for school children between the ages of 6 and 12.
What’s on offer?
The groups offer a varied program with a range of free-time activities:

Registration period: March 10th until March 17th 2025
You can only register using your work e-mail address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de).
Please also note that you require the documents to register for FAU holiday childcare. Please be sure to fill them out and bring them with you on the first day that your child attends the holiday childcare.
Opening hours/costs
The FAU holiday childcare is available during the Easter holidays on working days from 07:00 am to 4:30 pm.
If you would like to take advantage of childcare between 7 am and 7:30 am, please be sure to indicate this in the registration portal under comments!
You can register your child by the week either for full-day care for 70 €/week (for childcare between 7:00 am and 4:30 pm every day)
or for half-day care for 50 €/week (for childcare between 7:00 am and 2 pm every day).
For 15 €/week, you can book a warm lunch for your child.
Please organize your child’s breakfast, snacks and drinks yourself and pack them safely in a small rucksack. On longer excursion days, we ask you to give your child an additional snack, as we do not go to the canteen on these days.
Booking without a hot lunch is also possible.
Prizes vary for users from partner institutions.
Reduced rates?
A reduced rate must be applied for in advance from the person responsible for organizing the childcare at the Family Service (pädagogische Leitung) and is possible in the following cases: Families with three children who are all looked after in the University childcare during the same week(s) do not have to pay the childcare costs for the third child (but lunch fees still apply).
If both parents are students, they can apply for a reduction in childcare costs of 10 € per week by showing their certificates of enrollment.
Please contact us if you would like to apply for a reduced rate.
Cancellation
Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend the childcare you have booked.
If your child is ill at the time the childcare starts, we will reimburse you your fees if you show us a doctor’s certificate.
Cancellation for any other reason: Fees are reimbursed in full for any cancellation up to 7 days before the holidays start. After that, the fees will only be reimbursed if we can find someone to take your place.
