Nürnberger Pentecost holidays (Pfingstferien) 2022

Dear families, dear children,

during the pentecost holidays (Pfingstferien) 2022 from 07.06.-17.06.2022 is again a holiday childcare programme for school children in Nürnberg planned.

According to the new version of the Infection Protection Act, the following measures apply at FAU holiday childcare:

  • In the premises used by FAU holiday chilcare, it is generally recommended for children to wear a mouth-nose protection (medical mask) if distances of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained. We also recommend that childcare workers wear mouth/nose protection (FFP2 or medical mask). The mask obligation continues to apply in public transport or in the cafeterias or, if applicable, when visiting external offers.
  • The legal obligation to test the children cared for in FAU holiday childcare or the staff working in FAU holiday childcare no longer exists. For the protection of all participating children, families and childcarers, we continue to recommend regular testing of all participants before the start of holiday childcare on a voluntary basis (recommendation 2x testing/week).
  • Parents please do not enter the rooms of the holiday childcare at the moment. The handover of the children will continue to take place at a central place in the outdoor area in front of the FAU holiday childcare.
  • Basic hygiene rules are implemented in the FAU holiday childcare. These include regular airing of the rooms used, regular hand washing, and adherence to cough and sneeze etiquette.

Registration is only possible with your service email address (e.g. maria.mustermann@fau.de). In addition, please see the documents for registration for FAU Holiday Childcare.

Opening hours/costs?

The FAU holiday childcare programme is open during the offered periods on weekdays daily from 07:30-16:30. Registration is possible on a weekly basis as a full-day booking 60.00 €/week (for a daily care time from 07:30 am – 16:30 pm) or as a half-day booking 40.00 €/week (for a daily care time from 07:30 am – 14:00 pm). For 3.10 €/day there is the possibility to book a warm lunch.

Separate costs apply for users of cooperating institutions.

Reduction?

The application for a reduction of the childcare costs must be made in person with the responsible pedagogical management in advance of the holiday childcare programme and is possible in the following cases:

Families with three children who are cared for during the same week(s) in the holiday childcare programme will receive a waiver of the care costs for the third sibling (but not for lunch).

Dual-student parents may apply for a reduction in childcare costs of 10 euros per week total upon presentation of their enrollment certificates.

Withdrawal?

Within the registration period for a holiday childcare offer, you can cancel your booking at any time free of charge. If your child cannot participate in the booked childcare programme after the registration period, please inform us immediately. If your child is ill at the beginning of the event, we will refund the participation fees upon presentation of a medical certificate.

In case of cancellation for other reasons: up to 7 days before the start of the holiday, the participant fees will be refunded in full. After that, you will only be refunded the participant fees if the place can be filled again.
